A chic and idyllic Cotswold hideaway
Address 49, Tarlton, Glos GL7 6PA (no street name).
Tip: On satnavs just enter 'Tarlton' rather than the post code, which take you down the wrong road.
From London take the M4 to exit 15 (69 miles from Chiswick). Take the A419 north to Badbury dual carriageway exit and still following A419 around Cirencester taking you to the A433 for Tetbury. Follow this for about two miles until you pass under a narrow railway bridge and the adjacent Thames Head Pub. Turn right after 300 yards for Tarlton. On entering the village there is a small green with a red phone box. Follow the road to the left. Asphodel Cottage is the fourth house on the left.
From the North coming on M5 leave at junction 11a on the A417 to Cirencester. After 15 miles at Cirencester follow the bypass for Chippenham & Tetbury until you reach the A433 for Tetbury (then see above directions).
